On June 12, 2015, BEGA submitted to the DC Council a proposed bill to adopt as law, entitled the Comprehensive Code of Conduct of the District of Columbia Establishment and BEGA Amendment Act of 2015 (“CCC”). The CCC, a measure to codify all of the District’s ethics laws into one body of law, is a new ethics code that will be applicable to all employees and elected officials of the District of Columbia. Good to Know –  Protect and Conserve
Longer days and shorter nights mean summer is finally upon us. Tempted as you may be, remember you cannot use an agency’s fleet car to run personal errands, drive to and from happy hour, etc. DPM § 1800.3 (i) states: “Employees shall protect and conserve government property and shall not use it for other than authorized activities.”
