D.C. Official Code § 1-1171.02(b) provides that the Mayor, Attorney General, and each member of the Council may designate one employee to engage in campaign fundraising while on leave, not in District facilities, and provided they are acting on behalf of a principal campaign committee, exploratory committee, or transition committee.
