BEGA Adopts Emergency Rules in Two Separate Rulemakings

The District of Columbia Board of Ethics and Government Accountability ("BEGA") announced that it has adopted emergency rules in two separate rulemakings. These include the "Board of Ethics and Government Accountability and Political and Ethical Conduct of the Board" (chapters 51 and 52 of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations (DCMR)) and "Investigations, Hearings and Appeals, Advisory Opinions, and Board of Ethics and Government Accountability: Hearing Procedures" (DCMR chapters 53, 54 and 55).
The rules shall remain in effect for up to one hundred and twenty (120) days from their effective date, or January 23, 2013, unless earlier superseded by a notice of final rulemaking. All persons desiring to file comments to the proposed rulemaking action should submit written comments via e-mail to [email protected] or by mail to the Board of Ethics and Government Accountability, Attn: Robert J.
