Investigator

This position is established to serve as an investigator for the Ethics Board, reporting to the Director of Government Ethics (the “Director”) and the General Counsel of the Ethics Board.  The investigator collects evidence and information, analyzes, and investigates administrative and civil/criminal allegations of violations of the District of Columbia’s laws and regulations governing the ethical conduct of its employees and public officials. Evidence of criminal activity developed during the course of an investigation is presented through management to the Ethics Board, which may issue administrative penalties, or refer the matter to the United States Attorney or the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia for further action.
