On May 19, 2025, the Council enacted B23-0239 Uniform College Athlete Name, Image, or Likeness Emergency Amendment Act of 2025 which suspends the filing requirement for board and commission members who were designated as filers by BEGA’s regulation 3 DCMR § 5710.1. The legislation is effective until August 17, 2025.
